Well, I genuinely don’t even know how to put this entire day into words.
Back Story:
I photographed Jake and Jordan for the first time a couple years ago and there truly was just a natural chemistry and spark between them. (anyone that has been around them, agrees I’m sure.) I alsooooo got the pleasure of photographing them again in some beautiful Oregon turnip fields and I remember calling dibs on their wedding someday! A year or so later, I looked down at my phone and saw a message from @jakesmith01 pop up on Instagram. I saw the words “So hey I had this idea last summer…..” and my heart LITERALLY JUMPED….I knew without even reading the message, there’s only one reason Jake would have an idea that would include me. !!!!! PROPOSAL. !!!!!
I received that message February of 2020 and after multiple reschedules their proposal day finally came in July. Days like their proposal day truly don’t happen often and I was already feeling an overwhelming amount of gratitude that I got to be a part of it and document it for them. (Not to mention their story went viral and got featured on the AZ news!)
Now. Here we are. July 9th, 2021. The day that puts all other days to shame. From beginning to end, Jake and Jordans Sedona wedding was a dream day. Yes, the dress was beautiful, the flowers were stunning, the view was incredible but that’s not what I’lll remember most about this day. The love. The joy. The tears. The laughter. The tight knit kind of family feel that every person hopes for. It was one of those days that I simply cannot believe God has blessed me with.
Jake, Jordan and Family – thank you for welcoming me into your family for the day. Thank you for your kindness, your love and your trust. This is a day that I wish I could photograph over and over again. I am so excited to share just a few (okay, maybe more than a few….) of my many favorite photos. I hope that you all love seeing them as much as I loved creating them.
